What's New in Accolade 15.1 Release
The following sections describe new functionality and areas that have changed in Accolade in the 15.1 release.
- Ad-Hoc Deliverables
- Task Board in Stages Tab
- Enhanced Scenario Planning
- Support for File Upload Restrictions
- Reporting Column Totals
Ad-Hoc Deliverables
Accolade projects tend to follow a strictly defined process of phases, gates, deliverables, and activities. Previously, aspects of an Accolade project, including deliverables, had to be defined at the start of the project, and did not allow for much flexibility. However, not all projects follow this rigid structure.
With Accolade 15.1, you can now create ad-hoc deliverables as required, allowing project managers more freedom to manage and adjust their projects. These ad-hoc deliverables work exactly like prior-defined Accolade deliverables; you can add a template, quick grids, and a workflow as needed. Ad-hoc deliverables can be added and managed from either the Stages tab or the Time View tab of a project.
Task Board in Stages Tab
Accolade 15.1 debuts a new way to manage deliverables and activities within the Stages tab of a project. Previously, all deliverables and activities were presented in a table format. With this release, Accolade has a new “Card View” option that presents deliverables and activities in a task board format.
This categorizes all deliverables and activities into columns with respect to their current statuses, namely “Not Started”, “In Progress”, or “Completed”, allowing you to follow the progress of each deliverable and activity more efficiently, and easily move them between statuses. With this task board, team members get a visual representation of their work in a more collaborative view and can identify bottlenecks quicker.
Enhanced Scenario Planning
Accolade 15.1 expands the user's ability to compare planning views. With this feature update, users can easily compare a planning view that uses scenario data to a view that uses production data.
In addition to viewing scenarios in Gantt planning views, users are now able to edit scenario data. Previously, users were able to edit live scenario data in a planning view. Now, users can edit scenario data when operating within scenario planning views. This extended functionality equips users with the information needed to make strategic decisions.
Support for File Upload Restrictions
Accolade 15.1 introduces safeguards against the accidental or intentional uploading of malicious files. In addition to Accolade's blocklist that prevents the upload of restricted files, Accolade supports Allowlisting of file extensions and File Masking Detection. File Masking Detection checks for and prevents the substitution of non-permitted file extensions with permitted file extensions.
Reporting Column Totals
Users can now view totals of all numerical columns at the bottom of their reports. Enable the Show Totals checkbox for any number columns in the report to display the sum of all the data in that column. This feature will display the sums of all rows of the report, even when those rows are located on different pages, and will respect any filters that have been applied.
