Using Accolade Office Extensions

The Accolade Office Extensions add-in provides the integration between Accolade and the desktop versions of the Microsoft 365 applications. You can download documents directly into a Microsoft application, open and work, and save the documents directly to Accolade, without having to navigate back to Accolade. Additionally, you can create global or project-level reports in Microsoft Excel that pull data from Accolade. These reports can be saved locally and accessed for individual use, or uploaded to Accolade for reporting purposes.

Depending on your user rights and permissions within the system, you can do the following in the Accolade Office Extensions add-in:

  • Download deliverable and activity templates created in an Microsoft 365 application and create new versions of deliverable or activity documents.
  • Save documents directly to Accolade from within Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Create and edit reports in Excel that pull data from Accolade, and upload the reports back to Accolade, where they will be available on the Charts & Reports page within the application.
  • Refresh reports created in Excel to display updated and live data from Accolade.
  • Create and upload templates for use across the system that use field codes to pull project-specific information and metric values from Accolade each time the document is downloaded.
