What's New in Accolade 16.0 Release
The following sections describe new functionality and areas that have changed in Accolade in the 16.0 release.
Updates to the Portfolio Planner
In this release of Accolade, we have made improvements to the Portfolio Planner feature, introduced in Accolade 15.2. This release includes updates to the user interface and experience. Portfolio Managers can now conduct a project search or browse for projects that are listed within a defined hierarchy.
Extending Team Collaboration with Microsoft Teams
In previous versions, the MS Teams integration with Accolade only allowed team collaboration on the project level itself. Accolade 16.0 extends this integration further by allowing MS Teams collaboration options at the deliverable and activity level, making it easier, for example, for users to post reminders about impending deliverable or activity deadlines. When a project is connected to a MS Teams channel, the communication menu is now available on deliverable and activity dialogs, with the following options:
-
Go to Channel
-
Post in Channel
-
Email Channel
-
Schedule Meeting with Channel
Additionally, with Accolade 16.0, when an Accolade project is connected to a MS Teams channel, the communication menu icon will change to one with a green dot, making it easier to identify which projects have been connected.
Accolade 16.0 also gives users the ability to collaborate on documents within a MS Teams channel. It is now possible for Document owners to download a (smart) document directly into a connected MS Teams channel. Document owners can also save a version of the document back to Accolade.
Enhancing the New Time View
In this release of Accolade, we have made improvements to the new Time View page, introduced in Accolade 15.3.
-
You can now add dependencies from the Models page, and these will be reflected on the new Time View.
-
You can now set an activity or deliverable to In Trouble directly from the new Time View.
-
With our new filter option, you can now efficiently locate specific items on the Time View. You can filter based on any columns on your Time View, including the Status field, introducing the feature to filter out items that are Not Required.
-
You can now export your Time View grid to a PDF document, allowing you to have an offline copy of your project's Time View.
Additionally, on upgrade to 16.0, if you utilized the old Time View, it will be replaced by the new Time View page. Your data remains as is, and you can locate the Time View in its usual spot with the same icon; only your user interface is updated. If you had the old Time View layout with other pods, you will have the new Time View page and the old layout, but the Time View pod is now deprecated.
Updated User Importer Feature
With Accolade 16.0, Administrators can update the settings for existing users in two new ways. First, Administrators can make bulk changes to existing user logins. Second, Administrators can now apply the settings of a template user to existing users. These updates save time and reduce user error.
New Resource Pool User Interface and Experience
Accolade 16.0 introduces a fresh new presentation and experience to the Resource Pools page, matching the more modern interfaces across Accolade to be more efficient and easier to use. Resources for each pool can also be easily viewed right on the pools page, eliminating the need for additional navigation. This improved Resource Pools page is located in the same place as the older view, with the same functionality as before.
Expanding the Acclaim Projects Health Score
Previously, if a project is integrated with Acclaim Projects, the Overall Health Score was displayed on the Accolade project’s header. With Accolade 16.0, the Current Schedule Score and the Current Financial Score will be displayed on your project header alongside the Overall Health Score, giving you more information to work with at a glance.
Cell Alignment Design Enhancements
Access the brand new UX enhancement in Accolade 16.0 that allows users to organize and structure their cell content by selecting an option (Left, Center, or Right) from the Selection Menu on the Select Columns screen. This enhancement promotes a more efficient way to read and explain reports to the preferred audience.
