What's New in Accolade 16.1 Release
The following sections describe new functionality and areas that have changed in Accolade in the 16.1 release.
Updated User Interface
Accolade 16.1 introduces a fresh new presentation and experience. This version of Accolade has been updated to match the standard design system used across all Sopheon products. You can switch between the new (preview) and classic versions from the menu bar.
Updated Portfolio Planner
With this release of Accolade, reports can now include updated scenario data. This includes the data generated within the Portfolio Planner, such as Total, Constraint, and Filter metric names and values. Any data that is edited in the Portfolio Planner, or in Accolade Gantt views, updates the scenario and this updated data can be used in online reporting.
Enhancing Configuration Download Feature
In this release of Accolade, we have made improvements to the Configuration Download feature. In 16.1, we have introduced the ability to download all configuration data for a single row. This update allows users to download items in a precise configuration. This is particularly useful if you operate a version control system and need to check in specific information.
Extending Team Collaboration with Microsoft Teams
Previously in Accolade, when a user created a new Microsoft Teams team from an Accolade project, they had to add the Accolade project team members manually on Microsoft Teams. With Accolade 16.1, when you create a new Microsoft Teams team from an Accolade project, you can copy team members from the Accolade project into the Microsoft Teams team.
Enhancing the Resource Pools Page
With the new Resource Pools page released in 16.0, you could see which resources belonged to each pool. Accolade 16.1 introduces a few enhancements to this page:

You can now view Resource Availability on the Resource Pools page. The Resource Availability fields display the availability of each pool’s resources over the ensuing months, ensuring this information is easily accessible.

You have a new Resource Pool Details user interface, with visibility of the resources and their upcoming availability.
Enhancing Inline Filtering Reports
UI/UX enhancements have been added to the Inline Filtering functionality. Users can navigate their data easier using the visually and operationally enhanced Inline Filtering elements (Filter by Condition, Filter by Values). These filter enhancements will shorten the search for pertinent data when attempting to find report rows containing Conditions.
Auditing User Activities
In Accolade 16.1, Accolade Administrators can use standard user audit facilities to note which users downloaded which reports, and when they did so, via the new User Auditing page. Previously, when Accolade Administrators needed to audit this information, they had to look at low-level log files, which proved to be difficult to access and time-consuming . These difficulties have been relieved with the new User Auditing page.
New Plan Projects (Beta) Page
Accolade 16.1 introduces a new page named Plan Projects, that is being released as a beta feature, and has similar functionality to the Resource Editor page. Users can use this page to add Resources and Demands onto their projects. This page will live in tandem with the Resource Editor, showing Assigned Resources, and changes made here will be reflected in the Resource Editor and vice versa.
Sopheon Identity and User Management
Accolade 16.1 introduces Sopheon Identity and User Management (SIUM), the first step towards Sopheon’s shared user management services. This release includes a new authentication method in support of seamless single sign-on across the Sopheon product family.
Updated Conditional Formatting Formulas for Reports
In the Accolade 16.1 release, Relational Operator "<" or ">" symbols are recognized and valid when creating Conditions within a Report Column. Additionally, Null and Empty columns can now be targeted for conditional formatting, allowing users to emphasize cells with null or empty values.
