Collaborating on Deliverables and Activities in Projects

Accolade contains several methods to communicate with other team members directly from the application. For more on this, see Team Collaboration Overview.

Team members can utilize the following functionality within a deliverable and activity:

Email team members, or email members of the connected Microsoft Teams channel, if the project is connected to a Microsoft Teams channel.
Post in and start a chat to collaborate and discuss aspects of a activity or deliverable with Microsoft Teams, if the project is connected to a Microsoft Teams channel.
Schedule meetings with team members about deliverable or activity related topics with Microsoft Teams, if the project is connected to a Microsoft Teams channel.

To send an email to a team member directly from an Accolade deliverable or activity:

Display the project and select the Stages page to display all deliverables and activities in the stage.
Locate the deliverable or activity you require, and click on the Email icon at the top right of the deliverable or activity dialog.
The names of the Accolade team members are checked by default. Un-check the names of those you do not want to email and click OK.
An email opens in your default email program with the user's specified email populated in the To field.
Complete the email details and send the email.

To send an email to members of a Microsoft Teams channel directly from an Accolade deliverable or activity:

Note: This option is only available on projects that are connected to a Microsoft Teams channel. Once successfully connected, the communication menu icon changes to one with a green dot . For more, see Connecting an Accolade Project to Microsoft Teams.

Display the project and select the Stages page to display all deliverables and activities in the stage.
Locate the deliverable or activity you require, and click on the icon at the top right of the deliverable or activity dialog.
Under the name of the Microsoft Teams channel, click on Email Channel.

An email opens in your default email program with a link to the project in the email body.

Complete the email details and send the email.

Note: Before you are able to send an email to a channel, if you do not have an email address connected to Microsoft Teams, you must generate one from the Teams app. To do this, in the Microsoft Teams interface, select Get email address.

To start a post and chat in a Microsoft Teams channel directly from an Accolade deliverable or activity:

Display the project and select the Stages page to display all deliverables and activities in the stage.
Locate the deliverable or activity you require, and click on the icon at the top right of the deliverable or activity dialog.
Under the name of the Microsoft Teams channel, click on Post in Channel.

Microsoft Teams opens in the connected channel with a link to the activity or deliverable in the message body, allowing you to start a conversation with the members of the Microsoft Teams channel.

To schedule a meeting with a Microsoft Teams channel directly from an Accolade deliverable or activity:

Display the project and select the Stages page to display all deliverables and activities in the stage.
Locate the deliverable or activity you require, and click on the icon at the top right of the deliverable or activity dialog.
Under the name of the Microsoft Teams channel, click on Schedule Meeting with Channel.

Microsoft Teams opens in the connected channel and allows you to schedule a meeting with the members of the Microsoft Teams channel.
