Working with Project Images
After an image is uploaded as a related document in a project, members of the project can work with the image to change its size, rotation, and to crop content out of the image. In addition, an image can be assigned as the thumbnail or main image to represent a project.
To work with a project image:
- Display the project that contains the image and select the Related Docs page.
- In the Images section, click the image (not the image name) you want to modify to display it in the Image Editor.
- Click Edit and do any of the following to modify the image:
- To crop the image - The image is highlighted in dashed lines. Click the center of the rectangle and drag it to highlight the portion of the image to keep, or click an edge or corner and drag it to change its shape or size. Click Crop.
For an image to be viewed as a thumbnail, crop the image to the shape and size used by your company.
- To re-size the image - In the Re-size to fields, enter a percentage of the original size or a height or width (in pixels) to scale the image to that size. You cannot enter both a height and width. Instead, the re-size action uses the last number entered. The aspect ratio is maintained when resizing. Click Size to Thumbnail to re-size the image to the dimensions required for a thumbnail image.
- To rotate the image - Click Rotate to turn the image 90° clockwise.
- Click Save to save your changes.
