Using Project Comparison Views

Comparison views allow Project and Portfolio Managers the ability to view and compare project data from current, scenario, and/or snapshot data sources to evaluate and coordinate their organization's strategic decision making and execution.

Comparison view layouts can be associated with a process model for display within a project or portfolio, or added as a global link within Accolade. See Creating Comparison View Layouts for more information on creating the layouts or adding report group selections.

General Comparison Views Example

The information displayed on the page is determined by the selections made in the drop-down list within the Report Data Pod. Accolade users can also manipulate the view by applying run time filters to the data displayed, in order to surface pertinent information more quickly.

Applying Runtime Filters to Views

Runtime filters allow the user to apply filters to the data when it is displayed. Users can control what information is displayed, and can use filters to drill down to see relevant information quickly.

Note:  Filters that are already applied will display in a list under the drop-down. Additional filters can (and must) be added independently to each pod set that is included in the view.

To apply runtime filters within a comparison view:

  1. Click Filter Icon next to the report group drop-down you want to apply a filter to.

The list of available filers displays in the Report Group Filters dialog. Selected filters will be applied to all pods in the report group.

Note:  If the selection does not have runtime filters configured, the message "No filters have been defined" will display in the dialog.

  1. Make changes as necessary.
  2. Click Apply to save your changes.

Click Filter Icon to apply additional or remove filters as necessary.

Notes:

Note:  The filter icon will not appear in a layout's charts or reports pods if there are no filters available for users to apply to the contents.

  • Additional report group options are subject to your company's configuration. See your company's Accolade Administrator to enable additional resources.
